Q1: How long is the Connex warranty for the hardware?

 

The Connex ICD and its accessories as installed are warranted for a period of 36 months from the date of service activation from a Connex approved authorised installer. CSE will replace with new or repair any defective parts at no cost to the customer. This warranty covers manufacturing defects only. This warranty will not apply if (for example):-

  1. The product has been improperly installed or is otherwise installed contrary to manufacturer’s recommendations
  2. Has been damaged during installation
  3. Has not been operated in accordance with operating instructions
  4. Tampered with by an unapproved party
  5. Has been subjected to damage or abuse beyond that expected from conditions of normal use.
 
 
 
Q2:
What happens to my vehicle warranty if I were to fit Connex?
 

For Connex packages that have been recommended by a car manufacturer, the vehicle warranty will be still intact. For example, the car battery and ignition. Subject to vehicle inspection, CSE will make good any damage or fault directly caused by Connex. CSE will not be responsible for any consequential, indirect losses or damages caused.

Note: CSE shall not be responsible for any damages to the Connex ICD, its related accessories or to the vehicle arising from:

  1. Unauthorised third party installation or services
  2. Unauthorised installation procedures
