Q1: What is the Connex Compensation Guarantee?

 

The Connex Compensation Guarantee is an inconvenience reimbursement for all active subscribers when their vehicle is stolen. The compensation is divided into two parts:

Cash:
A cash reimbursement will be paid to the active subscriber when his/her car has been stolen. This is meant to compensate our customers for their inconvenience when they would require alternative means of transport (taxi or car rental), loss of personal belongings and even for lodging. This reimbursement will be paid in a lump sum to the subscriber (please refer to the Price List for more information).

Claims for vehicle repair:
With your subscription to Connex services, you will also be entitled to claim for any damages, parts replacement or repairs that have occurred during the theft of your vehicle. For example, the cylinder lock for your vehicle, dents or scratches to vehicle body. This reimbursement will be based on claims submitted by the subscriber and is subject to approval by Connex. Kindly refer to the Price List for your claim entitlement.
 
 
Q2:
How do I claim for the Compensation Guarantee?
 
All active subscribers to Connex are entitled for the Compensation Guarantee the minute their vehicle is stolen if the following conditions are met:
  1. The Control Room has verified with the subscriber that the vehicle is stolen.
  2. Theft Management notification is received via SMS to confirm that the vehicle is under theft.
  3. The subscriber makes an official police report.
  4. The following documents must be submitted to Connex Customer Service:
    1. Copy of official police report
    2. Copy of Subscriber's identity card
    3. Copy of Subscriber's car registration
For claims of vehicle repair or parts replacement, subscribers will be required to submit the original bills or receipts.
 
   
Q3:
How is the Compensation Guarantee different from my vehicle insurance?
 
The compensation guarantee is provided by Connex and not your vehicle insurance. If your vehicle has occurred substantial damages during the theft, you are still able to claim from your vehicle insurance (please refer to your motor policy for terms and conditions).
